Happy Thanksgiving! Velan Gives Thanks! Message From CEO 26 Nov 2020

Happy Thanksgiving y’all!

Velan wishes you to celebrate the day to its fullest with your loved ones.

It is the day of togetherness, appreciation, and sharing.

It is the day of gratitude.

It is the day to be happy for everything we have today.

This time of year strikes a chord at how we rush to clean the house, decorate our homes, spend hours of cooking to prepare the delicious turkey and stuffing, look forward to a football match, enjoy happy hours of lying on the couch, and of course, eagerly wait for the Black Friday chaos.

We look forward to it every year.

In all the delight, (or hullabaloo), amusement, and celebration, it is imperative to recall that this time of year is the beginning of a season of kindness and generosity. A season where we must think about all the ways we have been blessed. We should turn our gratitude into action.

An unplanned effort of kindness is so easy, and not very demanding, however, it could make someone’s day. The best part of this random act is that it will be surprising and unattributed. After all, the best gifts are the ones we don’t take any credits for.

2020 and Thanksgiving!

Celebrating Thanksgiving during a pandemic is bizarre. It is more risky, stressful, and sadness staying away from our loved ones. It feels really dark, and there are thousands of people who are desperately waiting for 2020 to end. But as much as 2020 has been unpleasant and bad, on a positive side it has thrown light on how we can improve if we actually try.

During this amazing time of Thanksgiving, I have been reflecting on the people that I am most grateful for.

This year,

I’m thankful for the doctors and nurses who selflessly looked after their patients.

I’m thankful for the researchers who worked continually and promptly to discover new vaccines. They chose to work on the impossible task and strived towards finishing it.

I’m thankful for the volunteers who enrolled in clinical trials and put their life at stake for others. Their unwavering faith and the decision to help the researchers made us believe in the effectiveness of the trial vaccines.

I’m thankful for my talented and relentless team, who worked hard to keep the company up and running round the clock. I’m grateful for the continual work they did to keep Velan great. Without their dedication, talent, and ethical standards especially during COVID, Velan would not continue to be the prosperous company we were before the pandemic, and we are today.

I’m thankful for my clients who believed in us. There is certainly no doubt that the pandemic brought about irreversible changes in ways we could have never imagined. You sailed through it with us and helped us help you with your business.

Finally, I’m thankful for my family and friends. What a year it has been! I am astounded at the level of support and love you have shown and am beyond grateful.

I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving filled with happiness, bright moments, and delicious feasts.

I am beyond thankful to have you all in my life.

I believe Thanksgiving is a season. There is no reason why we cannot celebrate Thanksgiving every day.

I’m happy to share that we are celebrating a virtual Thanksgiving dinner, at Velan, with our friends and families across the globe.

Love!
