How to purge cache in Cloudflare? Applications

Cloudflare offers a popular Content Distribution Network (CDN) service and purging of cache is very important when the site goes through changes. Cloudflare strongly recommends using single-file (URL) to maintain optimum site performance instead of complete cache purge.

Purging everything clears all resources from the CDN cache in all Cloudflare datacenters. Every new request for purge retrieves the resources from the origin servers.

When requests to your origin server from heavy traffic, it may slow site performance substantially

To Purge everything from Cloudflare dashboard –

  1. Login to Cloudflare
  2. Select the site with the resources to purge
  3. Click the Caching app
  4. In the Purge Cache section, click on Purge Everything
  5. You will receive a warning and you click on agree and Cloudflare purges everything.

Note: You should perform single-file purges only
